2026 Employment Law Business Breakfast: From Law to Practice

Changes in employment law in Lithuania are becoming increasingly strategic for businesses. The implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and the employment of foreign nationals are among the areas where employment law is becoming not only a legal matter but also a business strategy issue – directly affecting an organisation’s reputation, its ability to attract and retain employees, and its approach to risk management.

The event is designed to help HR leaders, legal professionals and business leaders effectively implement the new requirements and avoid costly mistakes.

At the event, we will focus on:

  • Which requirements of the EU Pay Transparency Directive have already been in force since 7 June 2026, and which have been postponed until 2027. We will also discuss other amendments to the Labour Code coming into effect on 1 November 2026.

  • Practical steps: how to prepare for the upcoming changes and what action plan to follow.

  • What questions to ask when developing remuneration methodologies to ensure that the methodology is practical and effective rather than merely declarative.

  • What employers need to know before hiring a foreign national in Lithuania: when and under what conditions a foreign national may be employed in Lithuania, as well as key aspects of employment quotas.

  • The specific considerations involved in employing different groups of foreign nationals, including highly qualified employees, students, and individuals who have completed their studies in Lithuania.

Who will share their insights?

At the event, employment law experts – Associate Partner and Attorney-at-Law Ina Muckienė and Senior Associate Modesta Nekrašaitė – will share their insights and practical experience.

The event will be moderated by Managing Partner and Attorney-at-Law Nerijus Zaleckas.
